Hundreds of healthcare institutions participate in MedAssets SELECT™ a voluntarily commitment program, for savings in supply costs.

The program rewards voluntary compliance with cost reductions and value. Members quickly realize that the value is far more than the low price of a widget and the word value. Collaboration between members and the group brings additional resources to bear. Strong contracts and service support, user-friendly information systems and support, special users meetings, and top line management support all come together to bring true meaning to the word VALUE!

• Participation in the Pharmacy Program (90 percent commitment of GPO contract pharmacy purchases through an authorized pharmacy wholesaler)

 
• Commitment to a set of commonly used items in any of the following programs:
  • Select I
  • Select II


• Optional Specialty Blocks in radiology, IV's, and anesthesia.

 
• Corporate Options B voluntary opportunities for expense reduction. Suppliers offer incentives for participants to commit to optional product categories in addition to the required product categories. Participants can choose to commit to one of two or more suppliers. These options increase the savings potential for participants.

SELECT offers members a customized approach to achieving savings. Participating hospitals reap significant savings through a combination of price and rebate advantages. In addition, they have choice in corporate options B flexibility that allows each facility to choose its own path to savings.
